An Introduction to Dental CBCT
On Tuesday 11th February, Dr Veronique Sauret-Jackson, Consultant Medical Physicist will return to deliver the session “An Introduction into CBCT”
Veronique developed an interest in the medical applications of technology during her Physics degree. She then studied Medical Imaging and Bioengineering for her MSc. Her PhD focused on the fusion of Nuclear Medicine and CT images to give physicians both functional and anatomical information. She has been working as a Medical Physicist with clinicians and helping them visualise and use their patients’ image data, in ways that were relevant to them and their specific needs for more than 15 years. Her professional focus as managing director of Cavendish Imaging is on delivering excellence in the imaging services provided.
This session is aimed at anyone who referrers for or has a general interest in Dental CBCT Images and those with a general interest in Physics, Radiology and CBCT Imaging.

Course Aims- Acquire an overview of the physics of CBCT concept and 3D image formation; pointers for a deeper understanding will also be given
- Be able to compare CBCT imaging with conventional imaging, including radiation dose and software; pointers to further understanding and software dexterity can be acquired via the CBCT course for referrers Level 1 and Level 2
- Learn the fundamental applications of CBCT and current referring criteria
- Understand the imaging continuum from CBCT diagnostic imaging to the dental digital workflow, including the role of anatomical models and surgical guides.
It is your attention to detail and high quality scans that set you apart from your competitors
Quickly seen, no delay. Most welcome
I regularly refer patients to Cavendish Imaging for radiographs and cone beam CT. The staff are knowledgeable, helpful and also kind.
The operative, could not have been more helpful and nice. Also, the staff I spoke to on the phone were polite and most helpful. Very happy with the visit
