Due to the success of our previous CBCT Course for Referrers Level One, Dr Steve Colley, Consultant Radiologist and Dr Veronique Sauret-Jackson will deliver the course again to a new cohort of delegates. This is a highly sought after training session and we are expecting a high number of delegates. Please book early to avoid disappointment.

CBCT is now becoming commonplace in general dental practice. As CBCT technology has evolved, we can now use CBCT in a wider range of areas in dentistry meaning its use has dramatically increased and more dentists have direct access and the ability to use CBCT. With this in mind, the current HPA-CRCE-010 document and the latest EADMFR guidelines suggest General Dentists who are involved with CBCT need to fulfil their responsibilities by completing at a certain level of education.

Current UK governmental guidance published by Public Health England and the EADMFR require all dentists who request, report or take CBCT scans to undertake a Core Training Programme in CBCT Radiography. The publication advises that a Level One and Level Two training programme should be completed. Level Two should be completed by those who wish to interpret and report on their CBCT images. Level Two cannot be undertaken until Level One has been completed. Both the GDC and CQC expect all dentists to follow these guidelines. This course has been modified so it is applicable to all the dentists who refer to a CBCT imaging site and do not have their own CBCT scanner or take their own CBCT images.

The CBCT course for referrers is for all our referrers and for all dentists who refer out their patients for CBCT. As “Prescribers” and “Prescribers who report”, this course will deliver the HOA-CRCE-010 and EADMFR-recommended content of adequate training.

This Course links to Enhanced CPD Development Outcomes C and D. The CPD provided is verified and the course is subject to our Quality Assurance Processes. For more information on Enhanced CPD please contact 0121 456 0893.
