On Tuesday 21st May we are once again  delighted to welcome back Dr Jackie Brown to deliver Part One of the Cavendish Imaging CBCT Interpretation Series, CBCT Interpretation of Small Volumes

Jackie is a specialist in Oral & Maxillofacial Radiology and is Consultant in Dental & Maxillofacial Radiology at Guy’s & St Thomas’ Hospitals Foundation Trust, and is Senior Lecturer at King’s College London Dental Institute of Guy’s, King’s College & St Thomas’ Hospitals and at the Eastman Dental Institute in London.

Starting with CBCT Interpretation of Dental Small Volumes this is the first of four parts and is also part of the Cavendish Imaging CBCT Masterclass.

This topic is aimed at those who interpret Dental CBCT Images and wish to refresh their knowledge (Please remember that current guidance states that in order to interpret Dental CBCT Images you have to complete the Level Two CBCT Course for Referrers) Dental Surgeons and those with an interest in CBCT interpretation, general diagnosis and Dental CBCT Imaging will also benefit from this session.

 

Course Aims

- Have a clear understanding of your responsibility as a referrer
- Have a clear understanding of what you can and cannot report on
- Understand the benefits and limitations of a CBCT scan
- Understand the principles of interpretation of the dental-alveolar region and the purpose of a radiology report
- Have a strategy for reporting small volume CBCT scans and know how write and read a CBCT report
- Be able to discuss how the report influences patient management
- Strive for a minimised radiation dosage to patients
