Making the most of 2D imaging and interpretation of OPGs

on Monday 22nd May- 18:45 – via live weblink or in person at our Birmingham Cavendish Imaging Branch.
Aims

  • The benefits and limitiations of 2D radiography
  • Refresh knowledge of normal anatomy on an OPG image.
  • Case Study reviews of abnormalities on OPG’s
  • From OPG to CBCT.

Objectives

  • Understand the benefits of 2D radiography
  • Recall and recognise normal anatomy on an OPG
  • Be able to identify abnormalities on an OPG
  • Understand when a CBCT will benefit diagnosis

Martin undertook his training in Dentistry at the University of Birmingham, and Medicine at the University of Wales College of Medicine. Having completed his postgraduate training in surgery he obtained his Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons of England (FRCS). Following this he undertook a five-year specialist training programme in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in the West Midlands Deanery. Completion of this training programme and the speciality examination resulted in the award of specialist Fellowship in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, FRCS (OMFS).

The cost of the event is £60 (£30 for regular Cavendish Imaging referrers).
